BUSKERS FESTIVAL WYCC UAE 2013

Hi everyone, I just started high school this Sept and it’s really going well. So much easier than everyone said it would be – a fun time with more interesting work to do and making new friends is always good.

Right now I am also preparing for the World Youth Chess Championship in UAE very seriously!

Every chance I get I am studying chess and making the time each day. Perhaps about 2+ hours, which doesn’t sound much, but there is the weekends too.

I hope I make it. Part of the struggle is making the funds and I hope that I can get some support as well as fundraising by myself when I get time. I’m grateful to the publics support and every $1 helps, so thanks!

Starbucks Coffee Shop downtown

Starbucks Coffee shop has been very kind to let me play my chess fundraiser outside their store. I was fundraising to WYCC Al Ain 2013. Again many people came by and asked about chess and showed an interest to play me. It was a lot of fun as usual. I never ask people to donate and just play chess, mainly forgetting and just have fun!

Richmond Night Market

Thanks to the Richmond Night Market Vancouver I had a fun evening playing chess and meeting lot’s of people. We listened to bands playing on the stage and watched dancing.

ITALIAN DAY CYCC 2013

I am very happy to have come in 1st Place in the U14 Girls in BC to qualify to play in the World Youth Chess qualifier in Ottawa July 10-13, 2013. Playing in the U14 will be tough competition for me as most of the girls are very experienced players and older than me. I am really looking forward to this opportunity.

Now I have began to play chess to make the funds to get to Ottawa CYCC.
