A huge thank you to the Pacific National Exhibition for letting me do my chess fundraiser to raise funds to I can go to the World Youth Chess Championship in Maribor, Slovenia, Nov 2012. Without your help I would not have been able to go. It was because of your kind assistance that I was able to keep going all the way and not loose site of my dream.

The media allowed me to share my story with the rest of Canada and the world. I wanted people to see how not only girls play chess and have ambitions to compete in international tournaments with the best players and at high level tournaments, but also that there are many chess players in Canada that would also benefit hugely from having corporate sponsorship and funding.

Playing at the PNE was the best time. It is one of my favourite places to spend time in the summer. I am truly grateful to everyone that I met there, from people who watched, people who played chess; those that donated and staff who worked there and helped spread the word that I was there to play chess and hoped to go to the World Youth Chess Championship.
